“Who ya gonna call?”

This classic movie with strong themes of friendship and determination, “Ghostbusters,” came out in 1984 directed by Ivan Reitman. The characters and storyline keep the viewers captivated and engaged throughout the entire 105-minute film. I love this movie. It’s a great choice especially around Halloween. It’s a cult classic with many quotable lines and quips. The plot and characters are memorable and have captured the interest of generations of people ever since the movie was released. Though the film technically qualifies as a horror movie, it remains family-friendly. The producers of the film took great care to keep the majority of the ghosts from being super scary, and in doing so, created several iconic specters such as the Stay Puft Man
and Slimer. Some of the ghosts may bother little ones, but this movie is perfectly appropriate for most older kids

“Ghostbusters” follows the story of three parapsychologists who, after losing funding for their research, take up their proton packs and go on a ghost-hunting, world-saving adventure. The three (later four) main characters, Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, and Winston Zeddemore are armed with quick wit and a particular affinity for all things supernatural. They go on a quest throughout the film to save New York from numerous ghosts and ghouls. This film leaves the audience wanting more of the lovable characters and with the classic theme song by Ray Parker Jr. being added to playlists.

The answer is clear — “Ghostbusters!”
