Students Organizing Against Racism

Welcome back to Leaders of EHS– a podcast where Adithi and Liza have meaningful conversations with students who strive to make a difference within the community. This week, they meet with Junior and co-President Sydne Clarke and Freshman Tami Adesanya once again as they represent Students Organizing Against Racism, or SOAR. Building on the ideas from last week’s episode, the influential figures describe the action that they have been taking to bring tangible change to the district and their pursuit of anti-racist policies.

**Fact checking: In the recording, Sydne Clarke misspoke and said that Derek Chauvin knelt on George Floyd’s neck for 7 minutes, where in actuality, it was 9 minutes and 29 seconds. The Stinger is aware of this error and understands that factual integrity is of the utmost importance, and are passing this statement to acknowledge the mistake and offer accurate information in her place.
