Senior Issue: Maddie Brzezinski

Joey Draper, Former Staff Writer

This previously ran in our 2022 June Senior Issue.

Maddie Brzezinski, a member of the Emmaus girls’ soccer team since freshman year, plans on continuing her passion for science as a biology major at Cedarville University.

Stinger: Will you continue your athletic career? If not, what are your plans for extracurriculars?

Brzezinski: I will not be continuing my athletic career because of my major I felt academics was more important than soccer. I do hope to do an intramural sport, if possible.

Stinger: Looking back at your time at Emmaus, what is a memory you will remember?

Brzezinski: One of my favorite memories is when we beat Freedom. It was supposed to be a tough game, but we outplayed them and made our coach very proud. I remember it so well because we never played so cohesively as a team.

Stinger: What is something you look forward to about college?

Brzezinski: I love science, specifically biology, so I’m excited to take the courses that are going to help me get to where I want to be one day. I’m also interested in meeting new people and making new friends.

Stinger: What are your expectations for your first semester at college? As well as what is something you would like to achieve?

Brzezinski: Because I’m going into biology, it is important to maintain a high GPA. I have made it my goal to maintain a high GPA, and I will achieve that goal by managing my time better and getting rest and taking the necessary steps to help myself.

Stinger: What is something you want to tell an underclassmen that you wish someone would’ve told you about senior year?

Brzezinski: I wish someone would have told me how bad senioritis would be. The past month I have found it so difficult to focus on my schoolwork when there is so much planning needed for college.
