Songs of the Summer

Over the summer, countless artists swarmed the music scene — releasing all kinds of singles, from rap to country to pop.

A poll conducted by The Stinger sent out to Emmaus High School students revealed exactly what songs students listened to over the summer.

Out of 129 student responses, “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar was voted first. “Birds of a Feather” by Billie Eilish placed second, and “Good Luck! Babe” by Chappell Roan was voted third. The remaining votes were spread across “Too Sweet” by Hozier, “I Love You, I’m Sorry” by Gracie Abrams, “A Bar Song” by Shaboozey, “Million Dollar Baby” by Tommy Richman, “Guess” by Charli XCX and Billie Eilish, “Die With a Smile” by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga, and “I Had Some Help” by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen. Melanie Lin, Deputy Arts and Culture Editor
This is Melanie’s third year on the Stinger as a Deputy Culture Editor. Along with Stinger, she is also the Secretary of Red Cross Club, Secretary of NHS, tutor, member of Global Citizens, and a prior New Student Mentor. Outside of school, she volunteers at St. Luke’s as a patient advocate and has been working at her parents’ restaurant since a young age. Outside of school, Melanie enjoys running, lifting, baking, reading, taking care of plants, biking, and hiking.
Thiffany Ceolin-Reimao
Thiffany Ceolin-Reimao, Photographer, Illustrator
Thiffany is in 11th grade this being her second year on the staff as an illustrator and photographer. She is passionate about art and enjoys listening to music and journaling in her free time. She is also social media manager of the National Art Honor Society and Young Democrats club as well as a senior girl scout.
Harper Sisonick
Harper Sisonick, Business Team Member
My name is Harper and I am a tenth-grade student. This is my second year writing in the stinger and I hope to keep it up all throughout high school. I love to read and be around my friends. I am interested in doing journalism as a career someday if it works out for me. I look forward to learning new things through the stinger that I can use later in life.
