EHS spirit week sparks pride

Homecoming spirit week is back at Emmaus High School, but this year with a fresh twist. The Student Government Association (SGA) introduced new themes to encourage participation, including “Anything but a Backpack Day,” “Teacher Twin Day,” and “Dress Your Age Day.” Other classics such as “PJ Day” and “Green and Gold Day” also appear during spirit week, giving students more ways to show pride. Spirit week is a great way to unite the EHS community and build excitement leading up to the pep rally and homecoming game.

Senior Christian Hernandez is very excited for spirit week, especially “Anything but a Backpack Day.”

“I’m going to bring a wheelbarrow,” Hernandez said.

Sophomore Noah Delgado plans to dress up as his homeroom teacher Tyler Nolan for “Teacher Twin Day.”

  • Monday 10/6
    • Anything but a Backpack Day: Swap your backpack out for something else
  • Tuesday 10/7
    • Teacher Twin Day: Dress as your favorite teacher
  • Wednesday 10/8
    • PJ Day: Wear comfy pajamas to class
  • Thursday 10/9
    • Dress Your Age: freshmen as babies, sophomores as kids, juniors as middle-aged adults, seniors as senior citizens, and staff as teens.
  • Friday 10/10
    • Green and Gold Day: Wear the school colors
  • Saturday 10/11
    • Homecoming

Claudia is a Junior and a first-year Deputy Features Editor. She is a Varsity Volleyball and Track & Field captain at Emmaus. Outside of school, Claudia spends her time working and volenteering for NMDP. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and friends, read, and paint.
Danii Rivera
Danii Rivera, Staff Writer, Photographer
This is Danii’s first year on The Stinger, she is both a staff writer and photographer. She is also part of The Tattler as a photographer. Danii has been wrestling on the girls wrestling team for three years and is also part of the school’s flag football team. Outside of school, she enjoys watching women’s sports, drawing, and playing pickleball.
