After the story “Emmaus duplex catches fire, uproots lives” was posted, The Stinger received new information that calls into question the veracity of some of the statements that were provided to our reporter and subsequently included in the story. As such, we have taken down the story, and offer a full retraction.
While the mistakes we at The Stinger made were inadvertent, they do reflect a failure to fully follow up on and confirm the information that our reporter was provided, for which we sincerely apologize. All members of The Stinger strive to fully and accurately report the stories we publish, and we vow to take all necessary steps to ensure this mistake is not repeated.
