EHS boys volleyball captures back-to-back District XI titles
The EHS boys volleyball team captured its 22nd District XI title after a dominant performance in the Class 3A championship final.
On May 26, the Emmaus Hornets defeated the Whitehall Zephyrs in straight sets, winning 25-21, 25-16, and 25-22 consecutively to take home yet another district gold medal.
The Hornets entered the match with extra motivation after falling to the Zephyrs in the EPC semifinals. From the opening set, the team controlled the pace of the match and never allowed the Zephyrs to gain momentum.
The Hornets were led by a star-studded roster, featuring EPC first team MVP junior Miles Boulrice, first team seniors Ben Skekel and Bilaal Kerim, along with third team senior Grayson Answini. Their strong communication and discipline were evident during the championship run.
The Hornets will now aim their focus toward the PIAA State Championship, where they will host the Hempfield Knights, the third-place finisher from District III, on Thursday, June 4 at 6 p.m.
