Colin Nonnemacher threw his last shot put as part of the Emmaus track & field team. Nonnemacher was a mentor to many and a competitive student-athlete. He holds a plethora of achievements, including the indoor shot put record, the sophomore shot put record, and three varsity letters. He was a runner-up in EPCs for shot put, “2025 Most Improved Track & Field Athlete,” “2024 Track & Field Heart Award,” two-time captain, and “EPC Scholar Athlete of the Year” nominee.

This fall, Nonnemacher will be attending Lock Haven University for track & field, while pursuing a major in health and physical education and a minor in coaching.

Stinger: What inspired you to pursue health and physical education/coaching?

Nonnemacher: I want to leave an impact on people’s lives and make their days a little better every day. I also want to give back to the sport that helped me get to where I am today.

Stinger: What advice would you give to underclassmen in general?

Nonnemacher: In general, I would say enjoy high school, make friends, take in every moment, and just have fun.

Stinger: What advice would you give to underclassmen regarding athletics?

Nonnemacher: Regarding athletics, I would say give it 100 percent of your effort, but also to have fun because that will make it better for you and others.

Stinger: What impact do you think you left on Emmaus High School?

Nonnemacher: I’m not sure what impact I left, but I hope I made people happy. Stinger: Is there anything else you would like to share? Nonnemacher: Just be kind, and the world will return back to you.
