Chappell Roan kicked off the U.S. leg of her “Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things.” She stated on her Instagram that she wanted to do something special before beginning to write her next album.
Special does not even begin to describe the feeling the audience shared when Roan made her entrance.
Roan lit up the stage of Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, N.Y., on Sept. 20, during her first night of four shows at the venue, proving she truly is “hot-to-go.” Performing all 14 songs on her debut album, “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.” Roan also performed her three most recent singles; “Good Luck, Babe!,” “The Giver,” and “The Subway.”

Roan’s voice shined through the crowd, as if her lyrics were riding the sound wave, leaving the audience in awe of her effortless vocal belting. From the beautiful stage design to the pyrotechnics, this was the performance of a lifetime. Roan has proven countless times that she is one of the best performers of our generation; making unforgettable moments from the audience dancing to “HOT TO GO!,” to the audience creating the colors of a kaleidoscope with their flashlights during her song, “Kaleidoscope,” which Roan graciously acknowledged.
“Everyone look behind you, you got a rainbow! Look, it’s a kaleidoscope! It’s so beautiful!” Roan said.
On this tour, Roan has invited the fans to participate in her concert themes based on her songs. For Forest Hills Stadium, her hit-song “My Kink is Karma” was the theme. Fans showed up and showed out with clown face paint and heart-shaped makeup, inspired by the song’s music video.
Roan ended the concert with her biggest hit “Pink Pony Club.” With the pyrotechnics lighting the night sky and her voice enchanting the crowd, the fans truly made that night as unforgettable for Roan as Roan did for the fans!
