- “Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance was amazing and definitely had an amazing meaning behind it. The love and appreciation of his Puerto Rican culture was so hearting warming. Seeing how he was able to bring so many people together and spread the message that “Together We Are America” is what the United States needs right now.”
- “The Bad Bunny halftime show had a great message and good vibe. Even though I didn’t understand what he was saying, I still enjoyed it.”
- “I think it’s interesting that people are suddenly against spanish speaking artists because shakira performed a few years ago and there seemed to be no problem with that. There’s a rise in discrimination towards hispanics and latinos because of our countries immigration controversy and ice and it’s really sad. I think anyone who needs to see a separate show need a reality check that this country isn’t just white people anymore and not everything is about them.”
- “Turning point USA was a joke”
- “I don’t even listen to bad bunny but it was so good”
- “Bad bunny represents America because puerto rico is an island owned by the united states”
- “The kid rock performance and anyone who chose to watch it over bad bunny are way too comfortable in their racism.”
- “The Bad Bunny halftime show was a beautiful representation of Puerto Rican culture. It acted as a unifying moment for ALL of America.”
- “the theatrics of bad bunny were very good and the choreography was impressive”
- “I think bad bunny was good but kendricks was better and THE GOAT was eminem”
- “The message was beautiful and bad bunny is the absolute goat”
- “Bad Bunny represents America beautifully ❤️!”
- “Benito was so iconic”
- “I believe that the hate for bad bunny is coming from the stigma around speaking another language in the US”
- “i feel like theyre shouldve been just one half time because any other year they only do one but when it came to bad bunny a hispanic music creator , theyre had to be another halftime , i dont think thats fair but lifes not fair so”
- “It was pretty cool”
- “I liked the bad bunny halftime show but didn’t like lady gagas part hers didn’t compliment the rest of the show . it would’ve of been better if Cardi B sung. “ I like it”.”
- “Bad Bunny super bowl was amazing. great music and great political message.”
- “I thought the message from the super bowl halftime show was wonderful. It was a peaceful message about unity and feeling known and heard. It’s showing love to the whole world.”
- “The Bad Bunny halftime show had a better, more inspirational message to all of America and created more unity.”
- “our government has gone to s— and if you watched the turning point show willingly you are a part of the problem”
- “Bad bunny’s performance showed love, and coming together as a community to help one another. While the Turning point USA halftime show was just bad, none of the songs where good, kid rock wasn’t even singing and the track wasn’t lined up with him. Not to mention Bad Bunny had a better vibe and it was actually enjoyable. The Turning point USA gave me second hand embarrassment for them. In my opinion the Turning point USA show shouldn’t have had happened and it was a waste of time, money and rescues.”
- “If you need a whole separate half time show instead of the performer appointed through the collaboration of the NFL and Jay z it says a lot, and kid rock is ancient and wasn’t even good but bad bunnies message of unity throughout Latin and North america was beautiful (i watched kid rock AFTER the superbowl was over)”
- “Bad Bunny’s showmanship and overall message both made the show ten times better in my eyes, and to me is what made it important. It stood for being proud of the Americans and trying to unite people, while also focusing on Puerto Rican culture. It was meant to make people feel proud for being American, which makes me question how Turning Point claimed to have the same goal while being in direct opposition.”
- “I think the fact that there needed to be two separate halftime shows is absolutely insane. Our country is so racist that instead of watching an incredible performance by a wonderful artist (and American citizen despite the denial of that fact), there had to be an entirely separate halftime show with a white man as the performer, whose lyrics literally describe him, as an adult, being with/liking underage girls. There was absolutely no need. If you don’t like the performer, don’t watch the halftime show. The truth of the matter is that nobody would have wanted a second halftime show if the original performer was white. The blatant racism is shocking and I don’t understand why our country is trying to go back to a time of separation and hate. “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.” “Together we are America.””
- “Turning Point USA had some of the most unserious and comically bad country songs I genuinely ever heard. There’s no way people were actually enjoying songs about underage girls and making out with fish.”
- “I liked the bad bunny one, it was controversial but we shouldn’t have english singers every year for many reasons.”
- “Despite Controversy, the bad bunny halftime show was a big thing for my culture and our island, despite him singing only in Spanish he represented Puerto Rico (because we are apart of America too) and he brought money to the island and regardless of views it was huge for us and our culture, it was slightly simple but he made every moment was inclusive and had meaning.”
- “It was amazing.”
- “Kid Rock likes minors.”
- “I feel as if the performance was disrespectful to the United States since the superbowl is an american holiday and not only did Bad Bunny want to learn English to perform at the superbowl, when he was informed he had to learn english, his response was “Hell no, I’m not learning that”
- “the bad bunny half time show was very good i thought that the dancing was very well choreographed”
- “We are Charlie Kirk”
- “-if had more features and a little bit longer bad bunny would be a 10
-those complaining that bad bunny was vulgar DO NOT know he was way worse when he started out
-ngl Charlie Kirk would Never do a extra halftime show tp is doing to much. the game itself was kinda trash tho”
- “I think that this whole “controversy” was mainly based off racism against Hispanics. People are acting like this country only speaks English. I personally don’t understand Spanish but I’ve always listened to Spanish music and I’ve never had a problem with it. If you don’t understand the lyrics, you can still just enjoy the beat, instruments and dancing. There’s always gonna be a Superbowl with music that isn’t necessarily your thing, but you don’t have to be so annoying and stuck up about it. People are being so immature about the whole thing and I think we all need to grow up.”
- “As a student of hispanic descent, I have never felt more connected to my culture until I watched the Bad Bunny halftime show. I feel like this opportunity for Bad Bunny gave us hispanics the chance to be seen with bright lights, and a dim world where we are exiled from society. Bad Bunny’s halftime show for me felt like a call, and for us to answer with confidence, strength, and comfortability within ourselves for our culture, not even hispanics either, but for every race.”
- “People hated bad bunny”s halftime show becuase it was something new for them they had hatred for him and hispanics that they had there own thoughts about it being bad and not wanting it and wanted another halftime show the turning point which does not unite but divide us all bad bunny wanted to do was unity us cause we are humans too.”
- “Bad bunny did an incredible job and even if you couldn’t understand he had rhythm and a incredible vibe there was no need for a “all american” show considering hes puerto rican and puerto rico is apart of america a separate show was dumb and unnecessary.”
- “People who watched the Turning Point show are sensitive”
- “Turning point USA half time show was stupid and racist”
- “I didn’t like the mixing of songs”
- “Better than the actual super bowl lmao”
- “What the hell is the all American halftime show we should all move to canada”
- “I thought Bad Bunny’s message was amazing, the theatrical style of the halftime show was truly remarkable. In a time like these his halftime show truly united the Americas and it made me feel hopeful for the future.”
- “I’m Puerto rican and the representation from Bentio’s Performance was amazing!”
- “It’s absurd that Bad Bunny, an American citizen no less, can be “boycotted” for simply speaking his mother tongue (and one that is spoken by 60 million Americans).”
- “Felt embraced by the culture”
- “I don’t like how there were 2 different half- time shows. When Jlo or Shakira performed they had no problem, but when a guy performs in all spanish they have a problem. I liked how he tried to unite everyone in these times or separation. I also personally like Bad Bunny’s music.”
- “I loved the bad bunny halftime show I love the way he cuorst out Ice”
- “Its very dumb in my opinion of them to make another halftime show to boycott bad bunny even though he is american, just diverse.”
- “I cannot understand how many Americans were against Bad Bunnys performance when his message was to share love and unite.”
- “I thought it was a great way of displaying less looked-at aspects of American culture, and reminding us all that the beauty of America is the melting pot of cultures that it is.”
- “eh they both sucked”
- “The Bad Bunny halftime show was a show I would never forget. My mother is from Puerto Rico and seeing her so happy to see her country being represented in an American-based game, brought me undeniable joy. The smooth rhythm of his music through my TV, seeing famous celebrities, like Cardi B, just dancing in the house as if they were at a cousins birthday party, Lady Gaga singing Die with a Smile in the form of salsa; this halftime show was everything any latino and an american would enjoy. But I would say, when Ricky Martin started singing, such a huge Puerto Rican influence, that feeling of culture traveling all over my body, my mom singing with such a huge grin on her face; at that moment I thought, ‘How can life get any better than this?’”
- “I understand the frustration that came with having someone who sings in Spanish sing for a majority English-speaking audience. I don’t believe that the presence of other languages is problematic, however it’s the fact that a secondary language that not everyone understands in this country that can come with issues. As well, the Super Bowl is a very hyper-patriotic occasion of American cultures, so the incorporation of other ones seems out of place. Of course, the country itself is a melting pot of many cultures and belief systems, which are represented in the show for a very good and wholesome reason. However the biggest controversy, in my opinion is the political undertones that may have come with having Bad Bunny as the halftime performer. In 2024, the NFL selected Kendrick Lamar, without a doubt for his brazen social impact and catalyzing of the issue of predation. In 2025, Bad Bunny may have been chosen as a social repudiation of current immigration discriminations and issues. Regardless, the show was very wholesome and filled with ideals of unity and joy, which can overpower any controversy!”
- “Bad Bunny´s vibe was good.”
- “The controversy between the two was not good, the fact that the president had nothing good to say about the ACTUAL halftime show was wrong, just because he was speaking and singing in spanish.”
- “From what I actually watched of the TPUSA half time show, the string players weren’t even playing their instruments. As a string player myself, I’m disgusted at the poor performance and the even worse air playing that didn’t even match the back track. I don’t hate that they used a back track, everyone does, but others actually sang/performed, the lip syncing and air playing almost covered the controversial words that were said by TPUSA performers. These performers lyrics issued topics that could be solved if they just minded their own business, they shouldn’t be hating on anyone especially on a national channel. Bad Bunny’s performance used true instruments and his message was unity in the America’s which is beautiful.”
- “Though I couldn’t understand most of the words Bad Bunny was saying, I think I still understood his message of unity through diversity and acceptance. The jumbotron projected that “the only thing stronger than hate is love”. With so much controversy surrounding him, I think Bad Bunny’s decision to choose peace over retaliation speaks truth to his message louder than Levi’s Stadium’s sound system ever could. Personally, I think this halftime show was one of the truest American performances we’ve seen in quite some time.”
- “the super bowl this year was so stupid with all the controversy”
- “Turning Point USA was literally a show centered around a man who looks beyond decay singing about liking underage girls. Not joking, that’s one of his lyrics. Search it up. Yes I’m talking about kid rock. The only reason people felt as to so offended when they found out Bad Bunny was doing the show was because when you’re always represented anybody else being represented feels like discrimination. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk”
- “Bad Bunny had a great halftime show for those watching on tv, but the grass set up of the field made it not as cool or visually engaging for those who were actually viewing in the stadium”
- “It’s sad people missed out on a great performance because of their bigotry.”
- “puetro rico is part of america.”
- “You gotta understand the culture from puerto rico. I only know a little about spanish but its still a vibe.”
- “I think they were both pretty bad but for different reasons. Kid rock was pretty clearly lip syncing and The Bad Bunny one I thought was okay but was a little weird and the main problem I see is most people cant understand spanish or have ever even heard of Bad Bunny.”
- “Anyone who was bothered by Bad Bunny preforming has to be stupid. The reason why they watched Kid Rock was because “he was american.” It’s embarrassing how grown adults don’t know that Puerto Rico is a part of America. And why would they watch someone who has allegations of doing terrible things. Also, that whole “All-American halftime show” was the most stupidest and boringest thing I’ve ever heard, the songs weren’t even that good. I have a lot more to say but this is getting too long.”
- “Bad Bunny needed more time and he had to wear a bullet proof vest bc of how the world is”
- “bad bunny did really good in my opinion i don’t know why he was getting so much hate but it was probably way better then the other halftime show.”
- “I think that the turning point half time show was born out of racism and hatred, and anyone who pretends otherwise is feeding into that hateful perspective. Especially in the current political climate, the unwillingness to watch a hispanic performer is definitely not from a place of innocence.”
- “The symbolism was incredible even if you couldn’t understand the lyrics”
- “People who actually enjoyed the Turning Point USA “All-American” Halftime Show are brainwashed. I say this because they just watched and supported a guy who has an extremely inappropriate song called “Cool, Daddy, Cool”. It is extremely unfortunate to know that possible students attending to this school support that.”
- “I did not watch Bad Bunny’s show because I don’t speak spanish”
- “bad bunnys performence was well done was i believe it was very overlooked by peoples ignorance regrading his music isnt in english . The turning point USA kid rock show wasnt nessacary at all and was just a petty way for more ignorant people in this country to keep on being blind to that theres other people from different cultures other than white.”
- “I thought the halftime show was to music video like. I enjoyed the message and music though.”
- “I think the message speaks for itself. Why watch something built on unwarranted hatred when you can watch something to enrich and immerse yourself in culture and the history of which America has a direct impact on and in the position where you can learn some of another language , bits and pieces, to connect with the MANY people who speak the language in America? Puerto Rico IS a part of America and shouldn’t be treated as the ‘floating island of garbage’ that some people decide to treat it as after their little vacation there. There is plenty else to watch in general besides the half time show, why make another one for this occasion? Bad bunny did great, lady Gaga did great, Ricky Martin did great. The message was important especially at this time in America. Spread love, not hate. That’s all, coming from a Puerto Rican student. All we want is love for all. It’s common sense.”
- “Bad Bunny performed an excellent halftime show. It brought together culture. He showed all of America and brought the message that love is stronger than hate. America is not just one country, it is a unity of countries and cultures. We should all respect one another and show love. I also loved how he showed his heritage and the love for Puerto Rico.”
- “There is a lot of nuance to the morality of the situation. I am quite interested in how this story will be written, and I hope it is written with all sides in mind, balanced and unbiased.”
- “I think that the TPUSA halftime show was primarily fueled by racism, and that the excuses they continue to make is only more proof of why the modern American conservative movement is fundamentally unserious.”
- “It showed the beautiful culture of Puerto Rico, we are apart of America.”
- “There was only one halftime show”
- “I think Bad Bunny’s halftime performance was excellent. It paid homage to and represented Puerto Rican culture perfectly. Whether or not you understand Spanish it was a performance that you could dance and vibe with. It was a show for all of America, and him listing the countries of South, Central, and North America was an amazing touch. The fact that Turning Point was created to offer an “American” half time show is pure idiocracy. Boricua culture is a major part of the United States and Puerto Rico is a territory of the US; this means whether people accept it or not his performance is an amazing and American half time show. The United States is a blend of cultures and Spanish culture is a big part of the US. Just because the show was not in English doesn’t mean it isn’t “American.” Bad Bunny managed to create a performance that was not only enjoyable but also so impactful with its messages.”
- “I mean I couldn’t understand it however it was pretty catchy. He looked like latino elvis with all the hip-dancing. I liked all the scenery they used. I think the second “family friendly” halftime show was unnecessary. I mean to be fair it probably wasn’t used in the show but Kid Rock did say “It’s not statutory, its mandatory.” once in reference to statutory rape.”
- “I couldn’t understand it because I dont speak english but I enjoyed the vibe it gave off”
- “There is currently so much discord throughout our country, providing an alternative halftime show because some people do not think a Puerto Rican is an American citizen is ridiculous. More love needs to be spread.”
- “Saying bad bunny is not american and shouldnt have performed is super racist since puerto rico is a united states territory.”
- “Bad bunny is best then turn point”
- “I loved seeing the representation of my community and the community of the people we see day to day.”
- “Kid Rock is not a good artist”
- “There was really no need for the turning point USA half time show”
- “Meh”
- “it was alll ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”
- “bentio bowl was lit 🇵🇷”
- “I loveeeee bad bunnnyyyyyy”
- “Go Puerto Rico”
- “I didn’t understand what Bad Bunny was saying, but I still think his set, flow, and beats were great, making this my favorite Super Bowl Halftime Show from this decade, in my opinion.”
- “i didn’t watch them but i saw clips from videos”
- “The superbowl kept me awake then I got a good sleep from the turning point halftime show”
